Description
Unusual clay object from Tholos Tomb II at Yerokambos in Lebena. It is probably a model of a circular house. The four openings in the body of the vessel, three of irregular shape and a larger rectangular one, are interpreted as windows and a doorway. The open pierced cylinder in the roof probably represents the chimney. At one end of the roof is a projecting hornlike handle with a hole in the base, similar to those found on vessels of the same period. The model was deposited as a burial offering together with vessels of various types.
