Description
Model of a human foot. It has a horizontal suspension hole in the ankle. Made of fine clay and unpainted. The foot model belongs to a group of votive offerings found at peak sanctuaries and representing human body parts such as arms and legs. It is believed that they were offered by worshippers praying for healing of the body part depicted, or for protection from sickness in general. Although models of human limbs have been found at Juktas, they do not form a large group of votives at this sanctuary.
