Description
Standing male figurine. The hands are crossed on the breast in a gesture of adoration which is not depicted very often in human figurines. The figure is wearing a codpiece and preserves traces of reddish-brown paint. Human figurines are interpreted as adorants and are among the most common offerings at the open-air sanctuaries known as peak sanctuaries. At the sanctuary on the peak of Psili Korfi on Mt Juktas, male figurines are more numerous than female ones.
