Description
Bell cup with disc base, low foot, straight rim and vertical strap handle. Black monochrome interior and outside of handle. The exterior is decorated with motifs of the Alternating Style of the Special Palatial Tradition in black paint on buff slip: a band on the lower body, stylised rocks, double axes and sea anemones higher up, and hanging semicircles under the rim. It was found in the Late Minoan IB final destruction layer of the palatial building at Archanes.
