Description
Clay rhyton in the shape of a pregnant woman. There is a hole in the crown of the head and another in the bottom of the vessel. This the is the earliest-known and most naturalistic example of a group of clay vessels of the Late Minoan III period. They are Cretan versions of the Egyptian alabaster vessels representing pregnant women (Gravidenflaschen).
