Description
Bridge-spouted jar with a vertical handle with double groove on the upper side and a simple base. It is decorated with motifs combining various forms of the Abstract and the Geometric Style of the Special Palatial Tradition. Elaborate zigzags on reddish-brown paint, imitating alabaster veining, interspersed with dots and sea anemones, adorn the buff-slipped main body, with corals lower down and a foliate band on the shoulder. On the neck of the vase are light-hued rosettes on a reddish-brown ground. Used to pour liquids on special social occasions or during ritual events.
