Description
Bronze tripod cauldron with three handles. The hemispherical, spouted body is made of a single sheet of bronze. The handles and legs are square in section and attached to the body by rivets. Found with another two bronze tripod vessels in Building C. They may even have been made there, as there is evidence of a metalworking workshop in the area. The bronze cauldrons from Quarter Mu at Malia inaugurated a type of vessel that was to become popular and continue in use until the end of the Bronze Age.
