Description
Gold casket-shaped pendant from Tholos Tomb A of Archanes Phourni. It belonged to the rich burial in the side chamber of Tholos Tomb A. The pendant consists of two separate pieces, the main body and the lid, which were made of attached pieces of gold sheet. It has pairs of suspension holes, indicating that it was used as a pendant. There are holes in the sides of the body and lid to secure the lid and hang the pendant from. The holes in the lid are surrounded by granulation.
