Description
Inscribed grave stele, tapering upwards, topped with pediment and acroteria and with a tenon on the bottom for setting into a base. The letters of the three first verses containing the name of the deceased girl are larger than the rest of the inscription, which is a typical elegiac epigram. The 10-verse text runs as follows:
Free translation:
Hail Voula, daughter of Isidoros.
It is not your death that is painful,
since Fate has spun it,
but the fact that you died young
and before your parents.
