Palace of Zakros. The Treasury of the Shrine
Description
Imported Egyptian globular vase/rhyton of porphyritic basalt from the Treasury of the Shrine of the palace of Zakros. The vase is dated from the Predynastic period to the 1st Dynasty of Egypt. However, it was modified in Crete for practical and aesthetic reasons with the addition of handles and used as a rhyton.
