Description
Ritual jug of Egyptian alabaster from the Treasury of the Shrine of the palace of Zakros. The shape of this ritual libation vessel is familiar from scenes on Minoan sealstones, where, combined with horns of consecration and branches, it may symbolise the regeneration of vegetation.
