Description
Bronze hanging single-nozzle lamp. The body is squat and globular, with a low base, long nozzle and handle in the shape of a horse’s head. The filling-hole is covered with a movable, hinged, disc-shaped lid with a handle shaped like a seated dog. A solid suspension chain is attached to the forehead of the horse-head handle and the base of the spout. This is quite a rare example of a luxury lamp.
