Description
Bronze cut-out plaque of a female figure. She is wearing a long dress and has her hands on her waist, elbows open. The basic facial features are visible, with a marked nose, a sharply angled chin and rudimentary eye-slits. The dress is elegantly decorated with relief dots. This posture with hands on waist is a frequent motif in Minoan art. The cut-out plaque was a votive offering at the sacred cave of Psychro.
