Description
Bronze chariot model drawn by a bull and a ram, excellent pieces of metalwork. The figurines have long, narrow bodies and show some stylisation, but their heads, legs and hooves are quite naturalistically detailed. The two-wheeled chariot to which they are attached is partly preserved. From the holes and notches in its surface, it appears that it would have contained one or more standing figures. Interestingly, the chariot and animals present several technical differences. Moreover, the bull and ram bear marks indicating that they were originally set on some other metal object. It is thought that the animals did not originally belong with the chariot but were added later.
