Description
Bronze figurine of a worshipper standing with legs together on a small circular base. In his right hand he holds an unidentified round object on his chest, while the left hangs at his side, fist closed. The worshipper is wearing the typical Minoan loincloth. The hair and facial features are rendered with simple incisions, while the open mouth is indicated by a circular cavity. Although it is clear that no attempt has been made to depict personal features, worshipper figurines are thought to represent the devotee himself and his prayer to the deity of the cave.
