Description
Pair of foil earrings with repoussé frontal head of Athena. The goddess is wearing a raised Attic helmet decorated with opposed griffins and spirals. She is wearing earrings and a necklace. A more carefully made gilded parallel, by the same Cretan workshop, has been found in the Cave of Eileithyia at Tsoutsouros (ancient Inatos).
