Description
Signet ring with solid hoop and slightly oval bezel set with a sealstone. The intaglio sealing surface depicts a Cupid on the right, wielding a beribboned thyrsus as a weapon against a rooster. This could be seen as a symbolic depiction of physical and spiritual love.
