Description
Pendant with almost semicircular main body surrounded by a low band of twisted wire supporting a slightly curved rock-crystal inlay of the same shape. The body is suspended, via connecting discs with lentoid inlays of amber and small bands, from a hollow horizontal rod. This is suspended in turn from a thick chain terminating in snakes’ heads. From the main body hang, on pairs of fine chains, three crescent-shaped ornaments with attached hollow discs, originally inlaid, probably with amber, which has not survived. All the available free surfaces of the pendant are filled with fine granulated and filigree decoration.
