Description
Clay sealing with two women in procession to the right. They are wearing unpleated skirts with decorated edges and a belt around the waist, tight bodices and tall cylindrical tiaras. The right arm is lowered away from the body, while the left is bent in front of the face and the body leans slightly back, stressing the outstretched posture. An exceptional depiction of the female processions that took place in the palatial environment during festivals. The women with their outstretched bodies and elaborate headdresses attest to the glamour and pageantry of Minoan palatial spectacles.
