Description
Askos with long neck and beaked spout, decorated with three rows of stamped concentric circles, oblique lines and bands. This vase, imported from Sardinia, was found in Tomb II of the cemetery of Knossos Tekke. It is the first Sardinian vessel found in the Aegean. Its presence at Knossos attests to the trading links between Crete and the West Mediterranean, probably via Phoenician merchants.
