Symbolisms of death
Description
Four terracotta Cupid figurines in graceful flying poses. They have suspension holes in the shoulder blades and preserve traces of white and red paint. The presence of young Cupids in a grave indicates that the person buried there was also young, as Cupid figurines were often placed in children’s graves.
