Description
This mosaic consists of black-and-white tesserae and depicts a kantharos cup with ivy springing from it. It adorned the vestibule of a Roman house, with a door dividing it from the adjoining room, which had a polychrome mosaic floor. Other examples of luxury Roman houses with mosaics and fountains were discovered at the same site in Hersonissos.
