Description
Miniature votive cuirass model of bronze sheet. The offering of miniature models of armour was a common practice at Cretan sanctuaries of the Archaic period. They were dedicated by the elite hoplite class in the hope of protection in battle or as a gift to the gods following a successful outcome.
