Description
Terracotta enthroned female figurine cloaked in a heavy garment from head to foot. In her right hand is a sickle-like object. The facial features are coarse. This is probably a goddess, the sickle perhaps indicating an agricultural divinity. From the Archaic to the Hellenistic period, goddesses are usually depicted seated on thrones.
